Global Resource Centre for specially-abled people, Gurugram

The Global Resource Centre is aimed to be a pioneer in skilling, employment and research related to specially abled people, and is poised to be one of it’s kind building bringing a plethora of facilities under one roof. The design takes into account the requirements and challenges faced by people from various walks of life, and learns from them to create a building that is universally accessible. Inputs of various stakeholders involved in the sector have been incorporated to make the building useful. Space planning, material selection, architectural detailing, MEP design have been dealt with meticulously with the view point of providing universal and barrier free access. The architecture of the building is designed not only to make it a pioneer in the field of universal accessibility, but also project sustainable design as a major design consideration through the incorporation of a solar roof as a bold statement.
